At Satya Jyoti, we welcome all who care for the environment, who wish to participate and be a
part of the growth of the commune, be a part of the learning process.

Our world is an ever expanding circle of awareness, join us as we awaken to the ecological
concerns around us. Share our experiences as new insights and learning sensitise us to the
world, the earth, the sky, trees, animals.
There is an ecological world of relationships, the people who become our mentors, teaching
us through example. We in turn have become the support others hold on to as they seek to
rehabilitate themselves. This ecological environment made of friends, mentors and fellow
travellers, creates the well-being we experience as we find our place in the cosmos.
We invite you to visit, participate, teach, learn and become a part of this ecology.

Cost:
Satya-jyoti is home to the community residents.
It is not a hotel or a tourist resort hence we do not know how to put a price on it.
The cottages have been built with our own resources and manpower, which is difficult to
quantify.
We do need an income and therefore appreciate a donation. Our guests also often find it
difficult to put a monetary value...hence as a guideline we recommend an amount of Rs.750/-
per person per day which includes everything other than travel to and from the farm. This is
essentially to cover our costs.

What can you do there:
If you are looking for activity, there is plenty to do on the farm … as a designer, an
educator, a farm hand…or even as an architect or a carpenter. It is a great place for urban
children to see and participate in an alternate life.
If you wish to just come for a quiet retreat, that’s fine as well.
There is a fort on a hill(probably from the Mughal period) just 3 km from the farm. It is a great
place to go and explore.
Please see our
photo gallery.

Best time to visit: The best time to visit is from October to March. Weekends are usually full so
one should register well ahead of time.

Accomodation/Food:
'The Gate' Guest Cottage,  with an attached bathroom, has four individual beds and can
comfortably accommodate 3 adults or 1 family with 2 children.
The 'New cottage' is a self contained unit with a kitchenette & bathroom. That has one double
and one single bed.
Then we have the 'Mud hut' which has one double bed and a detached shared toilet.
Other than this, we can set up two tents with sleeping bags if required.

Morning tea is served personally by the foreman Rameshwar and all the other meals are in
the community kitchen. Guests are invited to help with the cooking. The meals are all
vegetarian and grown on the farm.

How to register: There are many who like the idea of an off-beat holiday like this one, but
when it comes to living in a real rustic surrounding with very basic facilities, then it is another
story entirely. One as to have an empathy for the environment, compassion for fellow humans,
an openness to appreciate and enjoy what we offer.
Hence, we insist on meeting or personally talking to all prospective visitors.
Please write to us at
kakoli@satya-jyotii.com telling us what you do, when you would like to
come, how many people etc. Alternately you can call at 91-9818808363.

How to get there: The farm is 70km from Gurgaon, towards Jaipur. The nearest town is
Bhiwadi. There are no public transports which go up to the farm. You can either travel in your
own car (we will give you a route map or you can follow us) or you can reach Gurgaon and then
go in our Qualis which goes to the farm every Saturday morning and returns Sunday evening
and then goes again on Tuesday morning and returns on Thursday/ Friday. The third option is
to hire a taxi from Gurgaon which costs 1500Rs for same day return.
