The Satya Jyoti farm started around 1990. The farm had offered space for the work of the Satya jyoti Trust and continues to provide the space for furthering our aims in environmental understanding, education and rehabiliatation of women.

The Satya Jyoti Trust was set up in 2004 to take forward our desire to contribute to the well-being of our village and community and the environment.
Our guiding principles have been honed through our study and engagement with
Sri Aurobindo and the Mother’s teachings. In our spiritual quest for growth of Consciousness we found their teachings become a central peg, around which our activities find a deeper meaning and in a sense make our lives more meaningful. It has made us see ourselves and our place in the world through a prism of psychological well-being inculcated through practices that are holistic in approach. Awareness of our environment has led to deeper understanding of how our activities can either destroy or help nature regenerate our physical spaces. Mental physical and emotional well-being starts with self-knowledge and extends to influencing others.

The Trust was set up to take our learning to the larger community we live in.
Our intent has been to provide better opportunities for disadvantaged women and girls, through skill development and education, healthcare and most of all through growth of self-confidence.
